Rates & Insurance

Miriam Adams, LICSW does not contract with insurance plans.  

The client is responsible for payment of fees for treatment.  Acceptable forms of payment include cash, check, credit or debit card, Zelle, or Venmo.   If the client has out-of-network benefits with their insurance plan, they may be reimbursed at least partially by their insurer, after paying the fee in full.  A detailed document for insurance reimbursement (also called a Superbill) will be provided upon request.  Fees may be adjusted to accommodate financial hardship.  Please discuss financial needs during the intake process.  

Rates
Initial phone consultation (15 minutes):  free of charge

One hour initial assessment, in-office or telehealth:  $250

45 minute psychotherapy session, in-office or telehealth:  $200

30 minute psychotherapy session:  $130

non-client-facing work, such as phone calls, letters, treatment program applications:   $50 per 15 minutes.

Cancellation Policy

I ask for a minimum of 24 hours notice to cancel a session.  For late cancellations or missed sessions, I may charge a $100 fee.  Allowances may be made for emergencies or sudden illnesses.  In case of mild illness, video or phone sessions may be substituted for in-office meetings.
