Welcome

As you explore your options for psychotherapy, you are taking an important step toward feeling better and improving your health and well-being.

My aim as a therapist is to help people envision and move toward positive change. I provide a safe, supportive environment, both in-office and by video telehealth, unwavering optimism, and a respectful and collaborative attitude. My clinical expertise lies in the thorough assessment and treatment of anxiety disorders,  obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), depression, and distress associated with medical conditions.  I also specialize in women's mental health issues through the life cycle, such as pregnancy and postpartum anxiety and OCD,  parenting-related and menopausal depression and anxiety.

I work with older teens and adults, ages 17 and up. I integrate a variety of therapeutic approaches into my work, including psychodynamic, interpersonal, family systems, cognitive-behavioral therapies, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), behavioral medicine and mind-body approaches, mindfulness, stress management and relaxation, clinical hypnosis, and EMDR.

I also provide clinical supervision to social work students and LCSW level social workers, psychology interns and post-docs, and clinical consultation to independently licensed psychotherapists.

If you are interested in learning more, or would like to make an appointment for an initial consultation, I would be pleased to hear from you by phone or email.
