My aim as a therapist is to help people envision and move toward positive change. I provide a safe, supportive environment, unwavering optimism, and a respectful and collaborative attitude. My clinical expertise lies in the thorough assessment and treatment of anxiety disorders, depression, chronic pain, and distress associated with medical conditions. I also specialize in women's mental health issues through the life cycle, such as pregnancy-related, post-partum, parenting-related and menopausal depression and anxiety. I work with parents to improve their parenting effectiveness and to address the behavioral challenges presented by children with anxiety, learning differences, and problems with attention and executive functions.
I work with individuals, couples, adults and children. I integrate a variety of therapeutic approaches into my work, including psychodynamic, interpersonal, family systems, cognitive-behavioral therapies, play therapy, behavioral medicine and mind-body approaches, stress management and relaxation, biofeedback, and clinical hypnosis.
